Something to write home about!
Weeks one and two of camp meribah 2005 are now in the books. With just three week of camp to go we will review some of the highlights of the first two weeks. Real good news, no real drama, no people on staff that i cannot stand, i havent thrown any water coolers across the camp, i killed a five and a half foot cotton mouth snake on thursday i the creek (when i say i killed it i mean i stood behind the guy who did kill it swinging a huge stick at anything that moved), and i have yet to be hit in the balls by a large retarded women (a little insinde, i know), i can also now hold a baby with absolutely no fear. There is a little "precious lamb" of a baby there that for some reason loves me. If i ever am allowed to have children, i hope my daughter comes out just like this one, except the pooping and the occasional vomit. this little thing see's me in the morning before flag raising and reaches her arms out for me every day, i actually love playing around with her and her older brother, he is about 3, she is little; i dont know how old though. I would also like to thank megan for the "daily updates" on her life, it sometimes seems like i am stuck in time, when it comes to everyone elses lives, when i am at camp. So i appreciate everyones messages. also got to give a shoutout to whoever the three people were who left us some delicious snacks for the program cabin. they were sensational.
I came to the realization today that time is really going faster than it used to. this is my reasoning on that, can anyone believe that over 5 years ago we were worried about the millenium bug that was supposed to end human kind as we know it, or that almost 4 years ago we watched the twin towers fall down, or 2 years ago i was walking across a graduation stage. time is going by so quick and i dont really know what i have to show for any of the time i have wasted. i think in my life it is time for some changes so that if i actually do have a purpose in life, i will find it and maybe change someones world for the better.
My whole body hurts, for some reason i thought it would be a good idea to jump out of this tree at camp into the water, well apparently where i was jumping and where i landed, were two completely different spots. I jumped off a tree at about 25 feet off the ground into about three feet of water. Do the math, 25 ft in the air+ my 6ft+my big butt-3 ft of water=one sore body.
"today is the first day of the rest of my life, i'm going to stop looking back and start moving on, learn how to face my fears. love with all of my heart and make my mark, i want to leave something here. Go out on a limb, without any net, thats what im gonna be about. I'm gonna be running when the sand runs out."
